Intel has confirmed price increases for some consumer and server CPUs, citing rising supply chain costs and demand outpacing supply. Consumer processors will see price hikes ranging from $30 to $50, while data center–grade products could increase by several hundred to over one thousand dollars.
Investment bank Wedbush believes Intel still has room to raise prices without dampening market demand. In a report sent to clients, Wedbush analyst Matt Bryson wrote: “Given the ongoing shortage of server CPUs, we believe Intel still has room to raise prices without negatively impacting demand.”[Odaily]
