As of November 2024, the country has 22.10 million registered crypto users, with popular trading currencies including USDT, BTC, DOGE, PEPE, and XRP. Bappebti anticipates that the number of users will increase to 25 million in the future and plans to transfer the regulation of crypto trading to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) this year, while continuing to oversee commodity futures trading.
