According to a report from The Block on January 26, Deep Tide TechFlow has announced that Matt Huang, co-founder of crypto VC Paradigm, along with several executives, has called for an acceleration in the development pace of Ethereum. They suggested that Ethereum should implement more than one major upgrade each year and opposed the idea of protecting decentralization by slowing down or 'stiffening' the development of the core protocol.
In addition, they proposed several 'uncontroversial improvements', including re-pricing L1 opcodes, enhancing the user experience for batch transactions, and further developing rollups, among others. Furthermore, Paradigm emphasized its work on the Reth client (which currently holds a 2% share of Ethereum's execution clients) and invited the research community to collaborate on developing new feature prototypes.
