Elon Musk is exploring the application of blockchain in the $DOGE initiative. As an active participant in the new U.S. government, Musk is researching the use of blockchain technology within the government's efficiency department, DOGE. $DOGE officials are meeting with public blockchain representatives to assess the technology and discuss using blockchain to track federal spending, protect data, facilitate payments, and manage construction. Most of $DOGE's activities are conducted behind the scenes, with staff using the encrypted messaging app Signal to communicate, helping to keep the organization largely secret. Vivek Ramaswamy, who initially co-led the project with Musk, recently stepped down to announce his candidacy for Governor of Ohio.
