We need to continue building Ethereum's technical and social attributes, as well as its practical utility. I want to focus on a specific impact that is very important for Ethereum's users in the short and medium term: Ethereum's scaling strategy. Today, L2 faces two main challenges: scale and heterogeneity challenges. One possible scaling shortcut is to abandon L2, perform all operations on L1, and significantly raise the gas limit (potentially through multiple shards, or achieving it on a single shard). However, this approach would overly compromise many of Ethereum's current social structure advantages, and Ethereum's social structure is precisely very effective in simultaneously achieving different forms of research, development, and ecosystem-building cultures. Therefore, we should stick to the original path, continue to primarily scale through L2, but ensure that L2 truly fulfills its promises. Native Rollups are still an early-stage idea. A lot of active thinking is still needed, especially on how to make native Rollup precompiles as flexible as possible. Now is the time to double down. There are still many areas that require active thinking and brainstorming. Ethereum's future depends on the active participation of each of us.
