The Italian bank UniCredit has expanded its cryptocurrency trading desk operations to include spot trading.

According to Foresight News and reported by Bloomberg, sources revealed that Intesa Sanpaolo SpA is expanding the scope of its digital assets division to handle cryptocurrency spot trading. Previously, in 2023, it established a proprietary cryptocurrency trading division within its corporate and investment banking sector, which only traded cryptocurrency options, futures, and exchange-traded funds.
