SEC Chairman Gary Gensler once again urges cryptocurrency exchanges to comply with regulations.

<p>According to a report by The Block on November 14, Gary Gensler, the Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), spoke at the 56th Annual Securities Regulation Conference, reiterating his call for cryptocurrency exchanges to register and provide proper disclosures. He pointed out that apart from Bitcoin, Ethereum, and stablecoins, other digital assets have a market capitalization of approximately 600 billion USD, accounting for less than 20% of the overall cryptocurrency market and less than 0.25% of the global capital markets.</p>
<p>Following Donald Trump's election as president, Gensler's term as SEC Chairman may soon come to an end. Trump previously stated that he would fire Gensler, and sources indicate that Gensler may choose to resign voluntarily like previous chairpersons, but he could still opt to remain as an SEC Commissioner. In his speech, Gensler expressed, "I am proud to work alongside my SEC colleagues to protect American families' interests in the financial sector."</p>
