Deutsche Telekom's subsidiary MMS has partnered with the German private bank Bankhaus Metzler to launch a pilot project for Bitcoin mining infrastructure, aimed at utilizing surplus renewable energy for Bitcoin mining and providing data support for grid stability. The project, named "Digital Currency Photosynthesis," will make use of surplus renewable energy that cannot be connected to the grid or lacks storage options. The mining equipment is managed by Metis Solutions GmbH, with the mining machine containers located at Riva GmbH Engineering's site. Deutsche Telekom MMS is responsible for the operation of the equipment, while Bankhaus Metzler is responsible for defining and analyzing the test operations and data evaluation.
