The Synapse protocol is built on Ethereum's optimistic rollup and offers a set of scalable smart contracts. Synapse supports multiple EVM-compatible blockchains and integrates with nearly 18 Layer 1 and Layer 2 chains, including Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum, Harmony, Avalanche, Polygon, Moonbeam, Fantom, and BNB Chain.
Developers can leverage these contracts to build truly native cross-chain applications. Applications no longer need to be deployed separately across multiple blockchains but can be deployed on a single chain and communicate with others. Synapse provides interoperability support between each blockchain implementation, whether it's the overall base layer, rollups, or application-specific chains. Applications built using the Synapse Bridge protocol enable users to exchange assets between the most widely used EVM and non-EVM compatible blockchains.
