Michael Ovitz is a renowned entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and business leader. He is best known for co-founding Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and serving as its Chairman until 1995. Ovitz also expanded the purview of the agency by getting involved in corporate consulting, investment banking, and advertising. In 2010, he launched venture capital fund Broad Beach Ventures, which currently includes a portfolio of over thirty companies. Additionally, Ovitz has served on the boards of J. Crew Group Inc., Gulfstream Aviation, Opsware, the UCLA Hospital and Medical Center, the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, D.A.R.E. America, and the National Board of Advisors for the Children’s Scholarship Fund. Currently, he sits on the boards of both the Museum of Modern Art and the Council on Foreign Relations.
