Jesse Spiro is the head of government affairs at Tether and was previously the head of PayPal's crypto division, where he was responsible for developing regulatory policy. Formerly, Chief Government Affairs Officer at Chainalysis. In his role he engages directly with global governments and regulatory bodies on risks and emerging regulation in the blockchain ecosystem. He is a 2018 National Security Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a member of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) Financial Threats Council, and sits on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Human Trafficking Task Force. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park.
