The open-source AI platform Sentient has completed a seed round financing of $85 million. The round was led by Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, Pantera Capital, and Framework Ventures, with participation from Ethereal Ventures, Robot Ventures, Symbolic Capital, and HashKey Capital. Key contributors to Sentient include Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon, and its advisor is Sreeram Kannan, founder and CEO of EigenLayer. The platform aims to build open-source AI models through community contributions and plans to launch a testnet in the third quarter of this year, utilizing Polygon's technology.
